Dear valued clients and friends:

I hope that you, your family and friends are well. As you know, this is one of the busiest times of the year for accounting firms as tax filings and financial statement regulatory deadlines rapidly approaching. We are keenly aware of the potential impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and are taking steps to provide for the continuity of our client services and the safety of our employees and clients as we navigate the uncertainty of the outbreak.

Our firm is devoted to the health and safety of our people, clients, and communities we serve. With safety as our primary concern, Linda J. Hamilton, CPA Accountancy Corporation is taking all necessary precautions with each decision oriented around our people and our clients.

Effective Monday, March 16th, 2020, all Linda J. Hamilton, CPA Accountancy Corporation team members will be working remotely until further notice and Linda J. Hamilton, CPA Accountancy Corporation’s physical office locations will be officially closed. In arriving at this decision and armed with our confidence in working remotely, we prioritized the health and safety of our people and clients, as well as to honor our responsibility to the communities in which we work and live during this national emergency.

As the situation is quickly changing, we do not know how long this policy will be in effect, but we are prepared to serve clients remotely for an extended period, as well as in limited situations at client locations. We have been preparing to work remotely and are swiftly shifting to complete remote operations without disruption to allow our clients to work with us as you normally would each day, with the exception of being in a virtual environment.

**We ask that you email Linda your tax documents at linda@ljhamiltoncpa.com, mail or drop off your tax documents at 1538 Oak St. in Linda’s mailbox or on her doorstep.**

This time of uncertainty also creates much change. President Donald Trump has instructed the Department of the Treasury and IRS to extend the April 15th filing deadline for federal income tax returns for those affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19). We are waiting for and official announcement from the IRS and will update accordingly. The CA Franchise Tax Board already officially announced they will extend all deadlines for filing, payment and estimates to June 15th, 2020.

Please stay healthy and safe!

Sincerely,

Linda J. Hamilton
